FINDING RELIEF FROM OCD: THERAPY FOR OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE DISORDER

Break free from the exhausting cycle of intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors. I provide evidence-based, compassionate therapy to help you regain clarity, confidence, and a sense of control over your life.

Living with Anxiety & Depression

OCD can feel like your mind is working against you. You may experience unwanted, intrusive thoughts that feel disturbing, irrational, or completely out of alignment with who you are. These thoughts can trigger intense anxiety, doubt, or guilt—followed by urges to perform mental or physical rituals to find relief.

You might spend hours checking, cleaning, seeking reassurance, replaying conversations, or trying to “prove” that something bad won’t happen. Even when you recognize the thoughts as unreasonable, resisting compulsions can feel unbearable, as though something terrible will occur if you don’t comply.

OCD often remains invisible to others. You may appear calm or high-functioning while privately feeling trapped in constant mental noise and self-doubt. Relationships, work, and daily routines can quietly shrink as avoidance and rituals take up more space.

OCD is not a character flaw, lack of faith, or failure of self-control. It is a treatable mental health condition. With specialized, evidence-based care, you can learn to respond differently to intrusive thoughts and reclaim freedom in your life.

About Me

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work, licensed in both California and South Carolina. I work from an evidence-based framework that recognizes OCD as a neurological and behavioral condition—not a reflection of who you are.

I understand how distressing and confusing OCD can be, especially when intrusive thoughts attack what matters most to you. My role is to help you develop a new relationship with your thoughts, reduce compulsive behaviors, and build confidence in your ability to tolerate uncertainty and discomfort.
